Minor League Position Players are reporting to camp in Sarasota and preparing for the first day of full squad workouts.  All players must go through a physical before taking the field for practice and joining the pitchers and catchers.  It seems that a large number of position players have reported to camp early this spring, and have been working among themselves to prepare for camp and the upcoming season.

Minor Leaguers will be divided into teams, based mainly on skill level, and will have several days of workouts before games against other organizations start.  Nothing official has been announced, but players from the Major League Camp will probably be reassigned to minor league camp within the near future.  This process of sending players down will happen until camp breaks as the big league club trims their roster to approach its opening day size of 25.
