Where Are They Now?
Posted on 31. May, 2009 by Corey in All, Dayton Dragons Baseball, General Baseball.
As you walk by the Dragons front office at Fifth Third Field there are framed pictures hanging on the wall of former Dragons who have gone on to make their Major League debut with the Cincinnati Reds or another Major League club. It’s called the Alumni Wall.
Last week the number of alumni to make their debut grew by one, as the Cincinnati Reds called up relief pitcher Carlos Fisher to make his major league debut. Fisher was a starting pitcher on the 2006 Dayton Dragons, making 27 starts and notching 12 wins.
There are still plenty of former Dragons hoping to get at least a “cup of coffee” and make their debut as a Major League player. Throughout the season I’ll be posting question and answer sessions with some of those former Dragons who hope to one day have their picture on the “Alumni Wall” at Fifth Third Field. If you have a specific player you’d like to see featured, email me at clubhouse@daytondragons.com and I’ll try to get your player in the blog.
