A huge thank you to blog reader and good friend Dan who reminded me that I was at an almost no-hitter in 1998 when the Arizona Diamondbacks came to Riverfront (Cinergy Field) to play the Cincinnati Reds.  The date was September 13th and it was a Sunday afternoon.   Alan Benes of Arizona pitched against Jason Bere of the Reds.  Sean Casey singled to right field with one out in the ninth inning to ruin the no-no.

You can click HERE to see the full boxscore from that day.  Thanks Dan for reminding me of this painful day.  Although I never want the Reds to lose, and especially no-hit, but being in attendance for a no-hitter is still something I want to happen.

Ever been to or close to a no-hitter? Please hit the comments below and tell me about it.
