Redsfest 2009
Posted on 06. Dec, 2009 by Corey in All, Dayton Dragons Baseball, General Baseball.
Ever since the Cincinnati Reds brought “Redsfest” back to the off season schedule, the popularity has grown each year. I typically head down on Friday night to walk around a bit, and each year seems to be more crowded than the last. There always appears to be a few new booths or activities going on, but for the most part things remain the same. The autograph and picture lines are huge, and thankfully I do not try to wait in those. It was great to be able to catch up with Former Dayton Dragons Zach Cozart and Todd Frazier for a while during the event. I had both of them in Dayton in 2008, and am glad to call those future Major Leaguer’s my friends.
There were so many activities and booths that I was not able to get pictures of everything, but did pick out a few that I would like to share with you. There are more posted online on the Reds site, or click on my buddy Trent’s blog on the right to see some of his.

The coolest part of the night for me was seeing all the former and current Reds get introduced to the crowd. Very impressed with some of the greats that returned. I have to say I was a bit disappointed that the Reds didn't announce the minor league players that were present.
