Starting to Snow
As my trip to Atlanta continues, I have been quite disappointed in the weather. I left the Midwest and headed South hoping for warmer weather and sunny skies. Well, none of that has happened and I feel lucky I had a heavy winter coat in the trunk of my car. Temperatures have been so low that my buddy Mark’s pipes froze overnight!
Weatherman all across the state were predicting snow in the area of Northern and Central Georgia, and people started to freak out. I realize they don’t get more than one snow a year in Atlanta, but no reason to bunker up and hide. Gas station lines were in the street, grocery stores were out of milk, eggs, and fabric softener (name that movie), and schools were all letting students out early in the day to prepare for the upcoming White Death!
Watching all of this transpire made me laugh. I only wonder what people from Northern Minnesota would think watching this city prepare for its blizzard. To be honest, the weatherman only predicted 1/2 to 1 inch of snow!! Barely a light dusting. The snow did come, starting around dinner time, and several hours later most schools and businesses had announced that they would be closed the following day. So, suffice to say, I am snowed in the house in Atlanta with one inch of snow on the ground!!!!

You are correct BG…One of my Top 5 Favorite Movies ever!! Use to watch it EVERYDAY after school while doing homework in the basement…Find myself quoting it quite often
