Woodjock 2010

A very cool thing will be happening this evening, Thursday, March 11, 2010.  At 7:00 MST, and 9:00 EST, a group of professional baseball players will gather in Scottsdale, Arizona was a charity rock concert.

Jake Peavy’s Woodjock 2010

Music jam fest features MLB players and celebrities during Cactus League Spring Training in Arizona.

WHAT: Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Jake Peavy, along with his friends, athletes, and celebrities, will pick up their instruments and showcase their major-league flair on a new field…a music jam fest.  Over 1,400 players and fans total are expected to attend this event.

WHO: Scheduled to participate with Jake on stage are: Barry Zito, Bernie Williams, Bronson Arroyo, Ben Broussard, Tim Flannery, Scott Linebrink, Aubrey Huff and Brandon Medders.  Additional athletes and music artists are expected.

WHEN: Thursday, March 11, 2010.  7:00 PM

WHERE: The Venue Scottsdale
7117 E. 3rd Avenue, Scottsdale, Arizona

WHY: Woodjock will benefit the Jake Peavy Foundation which raises money for: White Sox Charities, Autism Speaks, Strikeouts for Troops and Team Focus.
