Donnie Joseph final Dragons outing

Following game two in Lake County, Ohio, Dayton Dragons closer Donnie Joseph learned that he had been promoted to High A for the Cincinnati Reds and would be pitching for the Lynchburg Hillcats.  His final outing was another good one as he saved the game as the Dragons broke a nine game losing streak.

I was able to get a few pictures and video of Joseph’s last appearance.

A good player, and a great friend, Donnie will be missed…


Not sure how this tradition started, but Dragons third baseman hands Joseph the ball and hugs him before he begins each inning that he is on the mound. I caught it here on video along with some of the inning.
