Jimmy Buffett Night at Classic Park

It was Jimmy Buffett Night tonight at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio as the Dayton Dragons took on the Lake County Captains.  Going with the overall theme, the team wore special navy blue jerseys with flowers on them to commemorate Buffett.  A silent auction was held during the game for the jerseys, which were then presented to the winners on the field following the game.

I have talked about it many times, that I am a huge fan of the special jerseys that some teams wear throughout the season.  Steve, the clubhouse manager for the Captains, showed me an Indians throwback that they will wear several times, and also said they wore Pink Jersey’s earlier in the season for Mother’s Day.  Steve said the team plans to wear a purple in the upcoming weeks to support another cause.
