The Fighter: Homer Bailey or Christian Bale?

I went to the movies the other night (surprise, surprise) to see the new movie The Fighter.  I knew it was up for quite a few awards so that made it a must for me to see right away. I also enjoy Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams who are the three main stars in the film.

Overall, I really enjoyed this film and thought the acting was great.  I see it winning a few awards this year.  Bale was superb in his role, but I had one problem with him throughout the movie.  I kept thinking he was Homer Bailey, starting pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds. Bale had to lose weight for this role, making him look more like Bailey.  Take a look at some of the pictures below and tell me what you think and if you can figure out who is who.
