This Date in Baseball History…

On this date, April 8th, in 1974, Atlanta Braves Outfielder Hank Aaron belted his 715th career homer. This home run broke Babe Ruth’s record for most HR’s All-Time in Major League Baseball History.
Aaron hit the historic homer in Fulton County Stadium, which now stands as a parking lot across the street from Turner Field, the Braves new home. A marker has been placed in the EXACT spot where the homer went and is very accessible for fans to visit and take pictures of.
As everyone knows, Aaron’s record has since been broken by Barry Bonds.
