Being on the road during the baseball season is always an adventure.  The cities we travel to are unfamilar, and some are very small with not much to do.  One of my favorite things to do to pass time is to find a local movie theatre and relax while watching something on the big screen.  [...]

The Dayton Dragons are opening a three-game series in Clinton, Iowa, at Alliant Energy Field to take on the Clinton Lumberkings. Clinton was the site for this year’s Midwest League All-Star Game. The Dragons were represented at the game by catcher Kevin Coddington and pitcher Matt Fairel. Alliant Energy Field was built in 1937, and [...]

Today at the Dayton Dragons game against the West Michigan Whitecaps, the Human Slinky was on hand to provide entertainment for the crowd.  Pretty hard for me to explain what the human slinky is, so hopefully the pictures will do it justice…I mean, it was a dude dressed up as a giant slinky…

For most of the Dayton Dragons, this current road trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a new one. Less than a handful of players have ever been to Fifth Third Ballpark to take on the West Michigan Whitecaps. But for one Dragon, he is returning to the place where he got his start in professional [...]

Yes, that title is correct, we are at Fifth Third BALLPARK, not Fifth Third FIELD.  The Ballpark is in Grand Rapids, Michigan and home to the West Michigan Whitecaps. I have more coverage on this park coming soon, but wanted to wish my country a Happy Birthday and share a few photos with you for [...]

Some call them superstitions, some call them routines, and others call them “just plain stupid.” But no matter what you interrupt them to be, they exist all through the game of baseball. Baseball players are said to be “creatures of habit,” most of them having a schedule that they follow day in and day out. [...]

The ZOOperstars! are invading to provide tons of laughs and fun for the crowd on hand, and for the players. “They are real cool,” Dragons outfielder Andrew Means said. “They are [...]
